Welcome to Amy's 2012 Kiso Zemi!

This is not an easy class, but I hope it will be fun!

You have 2 homework assignments every week....

1) NEWSPAPER
Read an article from the newspaper, and do the following translation, summarization, vocabulary and reference activities on your blog:
TRANSLATE: Type the first sentence from the article, and write a Japanese translation of it. The translation should convey the meaning in NATURAL Japanese, so don't write a direct translation unless it sounds natural!!
SUMMARIZE: Summarize the rest of the article in English, IN YOUR OWN WORDS!! Do not write out the sentences as they are in the article - that is plagerizing!
VOCABULARY: List 5-10 vocabulary words or phrases and their Japanese meanings - they should be words that particularly pertain to the article's topic, and are vital to the understanding of the article as a whole.
REFERENCE: At the bottom of the blog, include a reference, as taught in Kiso Seminar!!

2)  COMMENTS
The night before the next class, go through your classmate's blogs and make comment, in English of course!!
